An Orangeburg man is accused of taking pictures a person throughout a dispute about turtles, based on a Calhoun County Sheriff’s Workplace incident report.

Antoine Dwayne Anderson, 46, of 1845 Kennerly Highway, is going through expenses of tried homicide, possession of a weapon in the course of the fee of a violent crime and obstructing justice.

The taking pictures happened on Nov. 12 round 9:30 p.m. simply exterior of Anderson’s dwelling, the incident report mentioned.

Anderson informed deputies he’d accused the person of stealing his pet turtles.

The 58-year-old Columbia man was upset when he arrived at Anderson’s dwelling, Anderson mentioned.

The 2 of them argued exterior after which a bodily altercation ensued, the report states.

Anderson allegedly informed deputies that he went within his dwelling, retrieved a firearm and shot the Columbia man.

Deputies declare Anderson informed them he was aiming for the Columbia man’s hip.

The bullet struck the person’s left arm and exited his chest.

Anderson allegedly informed deputies, “I used to be not making an attempt to kill him. I attempted to shoot him within the hip and I aimed too excessive.”

Anderson allegedly informed deputies that he fled the taking pictures scene initially so he may toss two firearms in Sweetwater Lake.

He informed deputies he’s a convicted felon.

Deputies weren’t in a position to find the firearms.

Calhoun County EMS transported the injured man to Lexington Medical Heart.

Calhoun County Justice of the Peace Cassandra Keller set Anderson’s bond at $95,000 money or surety on Nov. 13.

If convicted, Anderson faces as much as 30 years in jail.
